This is a quilt-as-you-go project; perfect for using up scraps or 5” charm squares! Fabric requirements are for four (4) 13” x 18” place mats. The placemats will be finished with a fun faux-flange binding, attached totally by machine. Class fee of $35 includes pattern. Class is taught in a one day session, from 9 a.m to 4 p.m., date TBD.

Construction of these placemats requires a sewing machine in good working order with a walking foot, size 80 sharp needle, neutral and/or coordinating thread, fabric marking pen or pencil, rotary cutter with sharp (new) blade, rotary cutting mat, rotary cutting ruler, fabric, and batting.
Fabric requirements: 20 Assorted 5” charm squares (these can be scraps from your stash), one yard of fabric for background AND one yard of fabric for backing, and 1/2 yard each of two different fabrics for the binding. Additionally, one yard of fusible fleece or regular batting is needed. Note, left-over batting pieces can be used; four (4) pieces measuring at least 14” x 20” will be needed.
